Farewell? Tottenham star Christian Eriksen hands fan his shirt and takes selfie as he appears to wave goodbye to supporters ahead of transfer

Tottenham superstar Christian Eriksen increased speculation about his future after their 1-0 Premier League defeat to Liverpool.

The Dane wasn’t one of Spurs’ better performers and saw himself substituted after 69 minutes.

When replaced by Giovani Lo Celso, who would later be unlucky with a chance to equalise, Eriksen received a smattering of jeers and boos as he looks set to leave on the cheap this month.

Inter Milan seem his most likely destination with an offer of around £17million being reported.

And after the final whistle, along with other Tottenham stars, Eriksen went to applaud the club’s supporters and made a beeline for one young fan who appeared to be holding a Danish flag.

The 27-year-old handed over the shirt he wore in the match and stopped to take a selfie with the fan.

After the touching moment he was then seen by supporters to linger in front of the huge single-tier South Stand and many took this as him waving goodbye ahead of a proposed move.

Especially with Lo Celso looking more at home in the Spurs side and a move for Benfica youngster Gedson Fernandes materialising.

Eriksen joined Tottenham from Ajax back in 2013 for just £11m and even selling on the cheap will turn a profit on the player who would otherwise leave on a free transfer in the summer.

He has so far made 300 appearances for the club, scoring 69 goals and helping them become Champions League regulars.
